Post-crucifixion Wine 2021

190,00

Post-Crucifixion Wine is an exclusive creation of the Michelini i Mufatto winery, located in the Bierzo region of Spain. This red wine is made from a blend of indigenous varieties, including Mencía, Palomino, Merenzao, Brancellao and Godello, from pre-phylloxera vineyards over 100 years old.

What makes it unique?

Post-Crucifixion wine stands out for its artisanal production, fermenting in clay amphorae with native yeasts and a gentle maceration, followed by aging in used French oak barrels. This process highlights its purity, delicacy and energy, offering a remarkable aromatic complexity with intense perfumes of red fruits and licorice.

Most important features:

  • Grape varieties: 50% Mencia, 20% Merenzao, 10% Palomino, 10% Brancellao and 10% Godello.
  • Vineyard: Centennial vines in limestone soils, providing minerality and elegance.
  • Winemaking: Fermentation in clay amphorae, prolonged maceration and aging for 3 months in used barrels.
  • Aromas: Intense aromas of berries and licorice.
  • Flavor: Balanced, with vibrant acidity and fine tannins, culminating in a long, lingering finish.

Limited production:

This wine is extremely exclusive, with a very limited production that varies according to the vintage. For example, the 2020 vintage had only 593 bottles, which makes it an oenological jewel for collectors and wine lovers.
